Student Employees Performing Arts Services/ Front of House team
Event Assistant (EA): A first year position. Assist guest artists, lecturers and patrons of the Arts at Princeton.
Lead Event Assistant (LEA): A second year position for EA trained qualifying student employees. Leadership role, coordinate and direct EA and usher staff.
Student Manager (SM): A third year position for LEA trained qualifying student employees. Advanced leadership role, hire, onboard, mentor new hires. Develop training and scheduling tools.
House Manager (HM): A fourth year position for LEA and SM trained qualifying student employees. Management position, overseeing the operations and staffing for events in the University’s performance venues. Work side by side as colleagues with the professional full time staff.
The Front of House student employee roster consists of 25-30 students each year. Most join our staff as first years, many advance to leadership and some to management roles during their four years on our team. Students gain advanced customer service skills and hone their social skills, which are valuable to future careers.
